By car from Paris (approximately 2½ hours total journey time)
Take the A13 from the north west side of Paris, marked for Rouen. After approximately 40 kilometres leave the A13 and join the N13, heading for Évreux. Follow the N13 for approximately 100 kilometres until you reach Lisieux. At Lisieux take the D579 heading to Livarot. Follow the D579 all the way to Livarot, now see ‘From Livarot’ below.
By car from Le Havre (approximately 1½ hours total journey time)
Take the A29 in the direction of Caen, Le Mans and Pont De Normandie. After you cross the Pont De Normandie take the D144 heading towards Pont L’Eveque. The D144 will become the D579, continue on towards Pont L’Eveque. At Pont L’Eveque you will briefly join the A132 but shortly after this will become the D579 heading towards Lisieux. At Lisieux bear east on the ringroad (avoiding the town centre) heading towards Évreux and Caen. Continue on the ringroad heading towards Caen until the turning for the D579 to Livarot. Follow the D579 all the way to Livarot, now see ‘From Livarot’ below.
By car from Caen (approximately 1 hour total journey time)
From the east side of Caen’s peripherique take the N13 heading towards Lisieux. Leave the N13 to join the D80 heading towards St Pierre-sur-Dives. The D80 will become the D40, which continues heading towards St Pierre-sur-Dives. Follow ‘Autres Directions’ through St Pierre-sur-Dives until you have the chance to join the D4 heading towards Livarot. Follow the D4 all the way to Livarot, now see ‘From Livarot’ below.
From Livarot
From Livarot take the D579 towards Vimoutiers. After 4 kilometers (or thereabouts), take the D110 to the right signposted La Chapelle Haute Grue 1 km (see the photo below).
After approximately 2 kilometers, take the D155 to the left signposted Les Autels St B[azile] (see the photo below). There is also a small sign for the house itself, Les Tourneurs. (Please note, don’t take the D155 to the right which comes first and which is signposted Heurtevent.)
Follow this road for half a kilometer and then turn down to the left, signposted Le[s] Tourneur[s] (see the photo below).
After turning down to the left continue on down the small lane for one kilometer and the house is found up on the lefthandside.
